Slowly but surely we are recovering here in Sterling. The store is more and more under control, and we are getting small improvements made and putting our stamp on things. All of the business signs are now up - and the Classroom is ready to go into Full Employment Mode. We have Mindfulness Meditation on Tuesdays, Belly Dancing for Fitness on Wednesdays, Pagan Path Meetings on Thursdays... A Lifestyle Coaching class begins this coming Sunday to help you realize your dreams and create a daily strategy for organizing yourself and creating positive change in your life. There will be Past Life Regression classes coming up, and Group Hypnosis classes, plus a Handwriting Analysis Class (and more.) We will also start hosting a Writer's group this month. So much excitement, so much potential for growth and new directions! Pidgeon Hill Dr Lease - No Go

Very sad news guys - apparently in the process of trying to iron out the last bits of the lease - their lawyer advised us we would NOT be able to have music (to include drumming) or burn candles or incense. This on top of the other restrictions just kaboshed the entire deal - so we are back to Square 2. I am so sorry - as I was REALLY looking forward to moving in next week - but unless an amazing miracle comes through - we can't accept this lease without losing a major part of our identity. The Music and Burning restrictions are directly related to this particular holding company, so there is a good chance we will be able to find another property that won't have those same restrictions - so don't give up yet, our broker is on the job and he is a serious miracle worker ;-> So if everyone can send him lots of positive energy and prayer and anything else to help him find us a new home that will be a very VERY good thing. I am going to post this to our facebook space too to get the rest of the community up to date. Wah!

Introduction to Pagan and Nature-Based Spirituality

Over the past 30 years or so, modern society has seen a 'rebirth' of nature-based spirituality. Some attribute this to a growing dissatisfaction with conventional religion, an increasing desire for a direct experience of divinity, and a greater appreciation of the natural world. At any rate, the number of individuals who either secretly or openly self-identify as 'Pagan' continues to increase.

But what makes a person or a belief system “Pagan”? Is it the decision to honor multiple gods, or does it go much deeper than that? And, how many different Pagan religions are there, anyway?

In this 6 week course, Rev. Tom Vandeberg will explore these questions and many more. Drawing on his many years of experience, working as a community organizer within the Pagan and Earth-Based spiritual community, Tom will guide participants through the multi-faceted world of spirituality that now resides under the umbrella of the term “Paganism.”

This course will explore not only the incredible diversity of Pagan and Earth-Based spirituality, but also the similarities. Upon completion of this course, participants will have gained an understanding of such things as the difference between the terms “Pagan” and “Wiccan”, what “reconstructionist” means, the major holidays shared by most Pagan groups, “Pagan etiquette,” and even a bit of Pagan slang.

Although this course is geared toward the complete novice, it is equally beneficial to folk that have been, shall we say, “through the woods” a few times.

Afraid of ghosts? Frightened of things that go BUMP in the night? Don't be! Esoterica proudly presents the Virginia Scientific Research Association's ghost tours of Leesburg. This two hour tour throughout downtown Leesburg brings every frightening experience you might have to life. Learn about paranormal research and see the "tools of the trade" first hand. This is a "hands-on" and very family friendly event that brings Leesburg's full ghostly history into view. Tours start every Friday and Saturday night at 9:00 in front of Esoterica, located at 25 S. King Street.
The Lightfoot Restaurant hosts live music on their patio, every Tuesday and Friday night. Every Tuesday night, hear Todd Wright or Gary Smallwood on alternating weeks. On Fridays the musical talent varies, so you have to keep coming back to hear it all. All the time, you will enjoy fine music, fine wine, and the best food available. Music is "weather permitting."
The Bluemont Concert series continues its Sunday Evening shows with The Lindsay Family on August 2, The Flaming Shileiaghs on August 9, the Dixie Power Trio on August 16, and concludes with The Taters on August 23. This year, the concerts are being held at Dodona Manor.

We are trying to save Historic Downtown Leesburg from dying an ignoble death. The Historic district is in DESPERATE need of refurbishing, improvement and renewal. Plans were agreed upon, and money targetted and set aside. Now the town council wants to blow it all off. If you enjoy coming to the Historic District in Leesburg (Virginia), and would like to see it get the facelift it needs so very much to compete with nearby chain shopping areas and other NOVA historic districts, please come and add YOUR voice this coming Tuesday (starts at 7:30 - there is plenty of FREE parking in the attached municipal garage) The town council tends to stand up and take notice with taxpayers and users of services come to the meetings. You don't HAVE to speak there, but if you are willing to, even saying as little as "I come to downtown Leesburg and support these improvments - and it will encourage me to come more often", will make a tremendous difference. Over
the last several weeks and months the members of the Downtown
Improvement Association who make up the Board of Directors, the Design
and Infrastructure Committee as well as the Advocacy Committee have
continued to meet and advance the DIA PLAN for infrastructure improvements in Downtown Leesburg.

DIA
has been fully engaged with reviewing, meeting with town
representatives, and commenting on this years CIP/budget process,
again, advocating for the DIA PLAN that was presented to Town Council
last spring – NOTHING ABOUT OUR MISSION AND GOALS HAS CHANGED.

Now we are asking for your DIRECT participation and support-

The
key to advancing the improvements outlined in the DIA PLAN is to get as
many supporters as possible to attend the public hearing on the evening
of March 24th and ask that the 5 million dollars that we
estimate it will cost to implement these improvements be included in
the Capital Improvement Budget for 2010 and 2011.

If
we are successful the design work can be completed in fiscal 2010 with
construction completed by late 2011 / 2012. By then, we should be out
of the recession and private re-development will follow. Currently most
of the funding is not scheduled until 2015 or later.

Our
position all along has been that we do not believe a piece-meal
approach over the next 10 years will have the desired impact.

Esoterica will be closing early Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 pm till the last week of February. Mindfulness Meditation will resume on the 23rd of Feb, and Spinning and Qigong Classes will start back up on the 24th of Feb.

BASIC NUMEROLOGY CLASS Throughout history, (or at least since Pythagoras), numbers have had meanings. Humans learned to make symbols for AMOUNTS before they made abstract symbols for THINGS. Note the early cave paintings. A drawing of a deer meant deer. But the little dots (or lines) next to the deer picture told HOW MANY deer there were! In time, numbers had significance beyond just AMOUNTS. When the later abstract symbols - letters - were created, it was associated with a number. Much of modern numerology is a matter of translating letters, (of your name, for example), back into its corresponding number - and then learning the meaning of that number. So your birth date can have a hidden meaning. Your name. Your new company's name. Your lover, your children, your pets or email name. You can very often find fascinating connections!

Beyond this Pythagorean view of the meanings beyind numbers is also an explanation of the Lo Shu Square. A simple Chinese system of arranging numbers to examine their relationships and meanings. It LOOKS like our familiar western tic tac toe chart where you place each number according to a pattern. It's a quick and simple 'reading' that you can do on the back of a business card or a restaurant paper napkin to fascinate your dinner companions.

For those who work with the Tarot, remember that each card has numbers on them. If you understand the meanings of the numbers, you greatly expand the information available from each card! It's a very useful bit of knowledge. AND, best of all, numerology is all about the SINGLE DIGIT numbers. So you only have to learn - primarily - about the numerals ONE thru NINE! NOT difficult - and fun - and fascinating! A two hour class will enable you to give a short - but fun - numerological reading for friends that they'll find entertaining and often strangely insightful!

TWO hour class on Saturday 6 December. A 50 page set of preprinted notes is included, so you don't have to diligently scribble during class! Just sit back and allow the information to soak into your mind.

Dog Days in Leesburg!

We had Dogs, Kids and people all over the place.... and the MOST amazing thing, my youngest Lucas, who has lived in mortal terror of dogs for the past 5 years, surprized the heck out of me... I was trying to keep him in the store and away from the dogs today - telling him that 'dogs were out there and you don't like them' (mind you - he is autistic and I wasn't sure if he was understanding me when I was trying to let him know something he DIDN"T like was out there) Then we spent the next couple of hours chasing him down the street every 10 minutes or so - coz he kept on trying to go out and pet the dogs (mind you - this is the same child who UP UNTIL TODAY would turn tail at the sight of a dog, regardless of the size.) So now I can't tell if it was the sheer NUMBER of the dogs... or because I told him he couldn't go out because he WAS afraid and sheer contrariness made him go out there and prove me wrong... either way - at least for today he conquered his fear of dogs - all sorts, all sizes...

I just love the cold snap in the air!!! And I love October!!!! and despite EVERYTHING going on right now, I KNOW we are finally on the path to recovery, and that with all of us working together we can fix what is broken and turn it all around. btw - keep an eye on our website - we keep on adding things to what is happening this month at Esoterica - and it turns out that Halloween is going to be a beehive of activity - and I am hereby encouraging all folks to play hookey and come spend the bulk of the day with us celebrating, watching a parade, and celebrating some more. CHANNELING

Many of you have written enquiring as to exactly what is "Channeling".

Good question! Channeling according to the American Heritage College Dictionary states-- "CHANNELING - The act or practice of serving as a medium through which a spirit guide purportedly communicates with living persons."

I like this definition, but I would expand it to include other forms of channeling such as channeling music or art...I've met many artists who say that their creations come from outside of themselves, and that they are a conduit for the Creative Force. I agree.

If you are interested in learning more about channeling, keep watching as I will soon be releasing DVDs that you can purchase of actual channeling sessions I do with my guides!!!

When I channel, I enter a trance state that allows me to step aside from my consiousness and body, and allow the guides to enter and use my body, particularly my voice box, to communicate. I assure you it is a totally painless and harmless practice. As most mediums will tell you, while in trance, they are not fully present, and therefore, don't recall most of the information that has passed through them. Thank goodness we now have video and tape recorders to capture the phenomena. In fact, I often say, I am so lucky because I get to sleep while working!

Many who have attended channeling sessions with me have come away amazed at the experience. I must admit--I too, am fascinated by it ...Though I know the technical mechanics of it, how it all exactly occurs is still in many ways a mystery to me...

Join us for an evening of music and songs from the delightful Doug Rainoff and Lisa Taylor. They play for Tips - so Tip Generously!!!

Doug Rainoff is an incredibly talented musician who is active in the Washington area, instructing, performing, singing, and songwriting. A George Mason Graduate, Doug has performed at many local venues including the Kennedy Center, Birchmere, Nissan Pavilion, and even the White House. A former Whammy Award winner, he has played on over 12 albums, performed internationally, and has appearances on television and radio. A Contemporary Music Center instructor since 1989, Doug is versed in Folk, Jazz, Blues, Classical, and Contemporary, as well as being a master of the finger picking style on Guitar.

Lisa Taylor is a mommy, therapist, singer-songwriter, guitarist and drummer from the Washington D.C.area. She is a Washington Area Music Association (WAMMIE) winner, Kerrville New Folk Finalist and has been the recipient of numerous songwriting awards from contests in the U.S. and abroad. Her music has been played up and down the dial including National Public Radio and "Traditions" with Mary Cliff. She has recorded with local legends Tom Prasada-Rao and Andrew McKnight as well as dozens of other independent artists whose work appears in film and television.

Learn to Spin Wool!

Learn the basics of handspinning wool yarns using hand spindles and
spinning wheels. The series will provide a hands-on introduction to
handspinning techniques, fiber characteristics, and the basics of
fiber preparation. Students will make a basic hand spindle (yours to
keep) and use instructor-provided spinning wheels in class. Fiber for
class and 'homework' are included. Additional fiber and hand-turned
drop spindles will be available for purchase at Esoterica. Classes
are Tuesday nights, September 11th through the 16th from 7 to 9 pm.

Instructor: Ashley Wells, Willow Hawk Farm. Ashley is a veteran
handspinner, weaver, dyer and shepherd. She and her husband produce a
variety of fiber for handspinners on their farm in Lovettsville.

Reiki I and II

Reiki is an ancient alternative healing modality that helps relieve
stress and tension. Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal
Life-Force Energy. The Ki part is the same word as Chi or Qi part is
the same word as Chi or Qi, the Chinese word for the energy which
underlies everything. Reiki is a system for channeling that energy to
someone for the purpose of healing.

Students will learn this ancient art of healing in a small class
setting through a combination of lecture & hands-on experience.

Reiki I includes the history of Reiki, how to use Reiki for
self-treatment & treatment of others, the Reiki hand positions, and
the opportunity to give & receive a full Reiki treatment. Each student

We are taking advantage of the release of the last Harry Potter book as an excuse to have a party. Completely Unplanned... where we know a lot of our loyal customers are going to be elsewhere, but what the heck. So... If you are so inclined, bring something to add to the libations, some munchies, and we will all pool our resources and have some late night fun in the store and get our Ghosties and Guardians into the 'spirit' of things. Friday - is December's First Friday for Leesburg - - where we do the late night thing with all the antique store, boutiques, art galleries and everyone... lots of fun... lots of foot traffic. We will be hosting Moon Tide - a wonderful local pagan band who's lead singer has a wonderful voice.

Our ONLY sale for the holiday season will take place this weekend. December 1 - 3, Friday thru Sunday. Clothing, Jewelry and Crystals (the expensive ones) will all be 20% off - so if anyone has been eyeing something, now would be the time to come and get it. Also need to mention that we have received several shipments in this week, including herbs, essential oils, calendars and other goodies, so there is even more to look at on the shelves.

Saturday - we have the BIG DO in Downtown Leesburg - the Call to Shoppers to see what we have in our lovely little town. Unique stores with items from local articans, craftsmen, vineyards, antiques, goodies from around the world, a new skate shop, new boutiques, new eateries... all very cool and NOT like the local mall. Saturday evening we have the Leesburg Holiday Parade - complete with Santa (who usually arrives in a classic convertible). All kinds of special activites will take place all day long - and here at Esoterica we cap it off with someone new to our music scene, Doug Alan Wilcox, a folk musician. (As always, concerts are free, but we encourage donations to the tip jar to help pay for gasoline and other necessities of life.)

Sunday - the sale continues and then wraps up, and we are still full of psychics. We will have two mediums (who contact the spirit world) several Tarot readers, a couple of palm readers, someone who also reads faces, a handwriting analyst, and our beloved Rune Goddess will be here - complete with her wonderous table of over 30 rune sets (probably closer to fifty, I have never been able to count them all)

Forget the Truck!!! I have a BETTER idea (and other things pertaining to this weekend and Halloween!!!)

I forgot to mention that Esoterica is also hosting a Open Circle for Solitaries - celebrating Samhain - for that portion of our clientele who are looking for such an event. this is in addition to our two concerts on Friday and Saturday night.

We should have psychic readers on hand Friday through Sunday, with an extra bonus of readers ALSO available as a special engagement Monday and Tuesday. I don't have an exact head count, but we should have at least one tarot reader and one palm reader - hopefully more - on both days in celebration of the thinning of the veil. It ought to be lots of fun ;->

And we have decided on an answer to our dilemma of the lack of a truck - we have abandoned the idea of being in the parade (it apparently was just not meant to be this year) - instead - we will take the stuff we WERE going to decorate the truck with, and turn the Gazebo into a Pirate Ship for the night... So Main Costume Theme is Pirate - but since Pirates are an engaging lot - we will embrace all kinds of folks on Halloween ;-> I do recommend that folks come before 6 or after 8pm - so you don't get caught up in the traffic closed by the Leesburg Halloween Parade - come early so you can see the parade (hoot and holler at the political candidates) and indulge in candy or other foodstuffs (I don't have firm plans on food - maybe we can get some folks to bring something too to make things interesting!)

In Need of a Pickup Truck for a Halloween Parade

IN DESPARATE NEED OF A PICKUP TRUCK FOR HALLOWEEN!!!!

We have lost the use of the PickUp Truck that was supposed to be our (Esoterica's ) float in the Halloween Parade. We now desperately need someone who wants to participate in the Leesburg Halloween Parade this year - but loaning us their pickup to be used as our Pirate Ship. To do this - we need to have the pickup at the store by about 4:30 Tuesday afternoon (Halloween) with a full tank of gas (since we can never been sure how long the parade will be and how long we will be waiting to GET MOVING from Ida Lee Park. I have a headscarf for the driver - in case he/she doesnt happen to have any pirate garb on hand.

We usually have about five people riding in the back of the Pickup Truck, and some folks walking to the sides to hand out candy.
So... I am ALSO putting a call out to all folks who want to join us for some Piratey Goodness and come out dressed in your best pirate garb - to help swell the crew and help hand out candy.

I am going to cross post this to all the blogs associated with the store - so hopefully we will see some results. At the very least, any one within hailing distance of Leesburg is invited to come down and join in the Halloween fun with us - Make it a Blessed Samhain for all those celebrating! (BTW - this is supposed to be a very good Samhain - it is on a waxing Moon, and there for good for growing abundance, prosperity and other good things.)

Outcome of the Court Case involved the Dreaded Pixie Dust

Well... know that I have calmed down from yesterday, I can now post. Back in April, we had a young woman come into the shop with her boyfriend, and our wonderful Stretch (aka Mike) did his usual Happy Pixie Dusting on the young woman, after asking permission (we ALWAYS ask permission as not everyone wishes to be covered in glittered ;->), I heard her giggling from my desk which hovers on the mezzanine, after which he asked if she was feeling risque, and then sprinked pixie dust over her cleavage. Unfortunately Stretch didnt wait long enough for her NO to the Risque cleavage (delayed reaction while she tried to figure out what he meant). Then apparently he sprinkled her boyfriend pants for extra luck that night (slightly off color, but until that date NON of our customers had had any issues with the fun and goofiness. Before she left the store, she spoke with another one of our employees, saying that she didnt want to cause problems, but that Stretch's risque sprinkling had made her feel uncomfy. My husband then spoke with her, where she again re-iterated that she did not want to make a fuss, but that she was taken a bit aback at her 'extra' sprinkling. My husband apologized for her discomfort, and said that we would speak to Stretch (which we did). They then left. Later that day, she called back while I was unavailable. The THIRD time she called, I was back where I could take the call, at which time she said again she didnt want to make a fuss, but was unhappy with the way my employee had said that it was just "Stretch is like that" and that she didnt feel that Stretch would be punished enough. I told her that he had already be spoken to, that he would NOT be doing any more risque glittering, and that this would be written up and retained. THEN she said her mother wanted her to take the case to the magistrate if we did not fire him.
I do NOT take kindly to being told to fire my employees, especially when the incident didnt warrant it AND he had already been chastized and was thoroughly embarrassed by the whole thing. To which she said she intended to files charges, and I cut the conversation off.

The followin week, a poor embarrassed officer (who frequently shops in our store) had to come in and read the charges to Mike - and amazingly enough - the girl was claiming that he had reached into her shirt to grope her, and the guy was claiming that Mike had touched his crotch. UFB. So - we have been playing Wait for the Court Date ever since, and Yesterday was the Day.

Sadly - Mike lost the Judge Lottery, and pulled a judge that his lawyer thought would be VERY antagonistic towards the case, and that Mike ran the VERY real risk of getting the full punishment, which could have been as much as FIVE YEARS OF JAIL TIME for SPRINKLING GLITTER (okay - in THEIR version it would have been for simple assault, something that had NEVER happened as he never touched their bodies in the whole sprinkling procedure.

So - Mike, in order to end this, had to plea GUILTY (this SOOO sticks in my craw) to the charges. The only good news I see in this is that it means that all the charges and outcome are expunged from his record in one year, provided he gets into no more trouble. So... he is forbidden from glittery anyone over the age of 10 and under the age of 50 (our special friends are exempt and you know who you are). But this does leave the door open for other unpleasantness - which we will not even put a voice too.

In the interim, spread the word, over Live Journal, over any other networks you all might have. That someone was FALSELY accused of a crime, and had to plead guilty just to prevent an even GREATER miscarriage of justice, since it would be his word against the young woman, her boyfriend and her mother (who was not even present at the incident). Most importantly, I NEVER want to see ANY of the three of them cross the threshold of my store again (Mike is not permitted to have contact with any of them, and would have to go upstairs or in the back if they come into the store, something that won't work to well when he is the only person manning the shop - so I simply don't want them there. They have made our lives hellish for five months, and have lost the priviledge of coming into Esoterica. But what would make us even happier would be to have this all work in our favor - and some of that would be spreading the word about this stupid case ALL AROUND THE WORLD (and back again). Let our revenge be of a positive nature, that we rise above this and make it work for us now. Hugs to all of you! but one of the folks here at Esoterica has been accused of assault - incurred while the individual was sprinkling fairy dust on two apparently sensitive individuals who felt that their rights and persons had been violated (this despite having been asked first if they wished to be dusted, and the original answer was in the affirmative.) And this depsite the fact that one of the parties had SAID that she didnt wish to cause problems, but that she felt very uncomfy with the sprinkling in the vicinity of her chest. To which she later called the store, wanting the person who sprinkled her to be fired (for sprinkling FREAKING PIXIE DUST??!?!?!?!) OR she would go to the magistrate... which she and her boyfriend have done. May God help the girl if somewhere every grabs her *** on the bus, or she gets a boss who really IS a pervert. I wouldn't want to be in the karmic shoes of this situation - fallout could blow every which way. On the other hand... we COULD end up on the news in one of those Stupid News Stories ;-> Stand by, we may be putting a call out for character witnesses to confirm that we don't randomly assaulting persons with pixie dust (we DO however get frequent requests for special Pixie Dust Sprinklings :D)

With Irene moving to Maryland, and Alex now gainfully employed with a career path, I am now faced with finding myself another part-time employee. Not as easy as you think, given that we now know for this to work the employee MUST have the following qualities: Must be over 21, preferably over 30 and not really NEEDING the money as the number of hours available are unpredictable. This will work best for someone who just wants something that will get them out of the house 2 to 4 times a week, who can work at least one weekend day a week, and pinchhit by taking on more hours when one of the full time employees is not in town. That aside, we also need someone who has EXCELLENT people skills, and can deal with babies, small children, teenagers, 20 somethings, normal adults (;-p), cranky older folks (including their bosses and co-workers), the elderly, the hysterical, the drunk, the troubled, the honest, the dishonest, the very spiritual and the not at all spiritual. Several years of retail work would also be preferred, we do NOT want any completely green folks to retail as this job gets crazy enough without folks knowing how to sell or merchandise. Good hearted and open-minded a must. Must like hugs and kisses. Must be able to have a good time and get whacky when necessary. Awesome if you can speak native level spanish. Pay is crap, but we make up for it by being a very fun place to work, and I do my best to take care of our staff with resources available. We can't afford benefits for employees - extra loving has to suffice. A sense of humor is a must, and ability to laugh at yourself is critical. We tease mercilessly, and are very raucous and degenerate at times. You may be called upon to lead/participate in drum circle, spirit circle, set up for concerts or classes, haul furniture for psychics, take children for walks, wipe up tears, hug when necessary. On any given day you might have to clean out the bathrooms (this involves toilets and nasty floors - so don't be surprised). You might also have to set up for parties and set out food and make huge amounts of coffee. These duties could increase depending on what happens in our future.

So.. If you think you would like to work for us, or know someone who might want to work for us, who meets most if not ALL of the above criteria, send me an email or give me a ringy dingy at the store. In the meantime - we will have have an overworked remaining staff so you will have to bear with us.

Three Days Only - 18 through 20 February

At our Brick and Mortar at 25 S. King Street, Leesburg, VA Esoterica is having an AWESOME and rare 3 day clothing sale... I can't buy any of the new spring clothes unless I can get folks to buy up all the winter clothes and some of the lovely ethnic clothing we have. This Weekend at Esoterica!!! Good Things Happening!!!

First of all - - it is time for the Monthly Psychic Faire - so I will be kept busy staying on top of things all three days...

Friday - First Friday in Historic Leesburg - where the art galleries, antique stores and lots of the local boutiques and small shops stay open unti 9pm (i KNOW that is nothing as compared to most malls, shopping centers and strip malls - but we are talking about a town that rolls up the sidewalks no later than 6pm normally)...

Friday - Circus of Saints will be playing the evening concert - I BELIEVE they are starting at 7pm - but they may have missed my message and will start at 8pm) We will have psychics in the store starting at 1pm until late, to include tarot readers, palm readers and handwriting analysis - for the metaphysical and those less so...

Saturday - the BIG Day - St. Brigid's Faire/Brigid's Faire - where we will have musicians playing from circa 2pm til 11pm. Light refreshments will be on hand - to augment the truly wonderful restaurants we have here in Downtown Leesburg (Tuscarora Mills and Lightfoot are the more pricey - with several less espensive but equally delicious places also within a two block radius.) Psychics will also be in all day that day - ergo we are having the quieter music play earlier in the day so that the readers can do their thing and you can HEAR them!

Sunday will be quieter - a Reiki I class from noon till 4 or 5, depending on numbers of classes - and again, the readers will be there all day (at varying times) so this would be a good time to take advantage of their being in the store - while everyone ELSE is preparing for Superbowl Parties ;->

Now I have have to pop back here and get caught up again....

A very slow start to the New Year at the store... have been just holding my breath and praying that our folks come back and start hanging out here again soon - apparently they were all exhausted by the holiday festivites and such and didnt venture from their homes for the past three weeks.
Belly Dancing has started back up, and now we also have Yoga Classes Weekly, in addition to our Drumming and Women's Circle, Irene's Wiccan class begins again after a short hiatus, and will be followed by the next level of class come March.

This Friday David La Fleur is playing for our After Hours Coffee House Concert Series - as always he will be playing for tips, and we will have refreshments available. We will a plethora of readers again this weekend, and Leoni will even be with us on Sunday this Sunday the 29th, AND Sunday the 5th of February.

Which leads up to the BIG EVENT!!! Brigid's Faire 2006 - our THIRD Annual Brigid's Faire, a Celebration of the return of Light to our lives (with the lengthening days) and the arts - in this case - MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC!!! We have six awesome musical acts lined up for everyone's listening pleasure Saturday the 4th of February - also a good day to pick up a romantic gift for your sweeties (unless you bring them along - then it won't be a surprise!!!)

BTW - we have several new lines of products that are exclusive to Esoterica - so far on the shelves are several bath salts and incenses, with oils and blessing kits to come - in addition to several other products handmade by the folks of Esoterica (some silly, some mudane, some Definitely of the Esoterica Realm ;->)

If you are on our mailing list you will be getting the Esoteric Quarterly shortly - it is in the hands of the printers now - and from there will go to our extensive mailing facilities and staff before becoming part of the US Postal System! TTFN
