Halloween Happenings!!!!

Action Packed weekend coming up!!!

**We are gathering up Canned Goods all weekend long to go to the Loudoun Interfaith Relief, one of Loudoun's most effect charity organizations.

Friday - we have Rene Carawen of Rhianon playing at the store tonight, with the cookies, tea and coffee to augment the experience (for stronger libation we recommend going around the corners to either Balls Bluff Tavern or the King's Court Pub first (and maybe after ;->) before coming to enjoy Rene's wondering singing and songwriting.

Since it is Halloween Weekend, the staff will be in costume all weekend long (well, at least the staff we could get into costume) - and of course we have the readers here too - very appropriate. On the streets outside we have the Loudoun Museum leading ghost tours through Leesburg, AND we have our beloved Joe the Ghost Guy doing his regular ghost tours, departing from next door at the Colonial Inn at 7pm, 9pm and 11pm. Tomorrow we have even more Halloween fun, to include providing a place for s0me of our solitaries who frequent the store to do a Samhain gathering in the classroom upstairs - apparently they are planning on decorating the classroom - I am holding my breath'!

Sunday of course is Halloween - and the staff will have candy to hand out - and all will be preparing for the BIG EVENT of the day, the Leesburg Halloween Parade - ongoing without a skipped year since 1955. This parade is organized by the Leesburg Kiwanis, another group we are very grateful for due to all the good things they do for the community. We are participating in the parade this year as Esoterica, as part of the Downtown Leesburg Business Association. Friends of Revel Moon have very kindly provided the vehicle for us, and we will be cramming family, staff, rabid customers and Revel Mooners onto the back of the truck to make a happy noise (will have drums, candy and other things to capture peoples' attention).

and then i finally fall into bed sunday night, dead to the world... I am lucky, Monday is my day off (good thing since the kids are off Monday and Tuesday), my poor darling David has to go to work Monday morning... YUCK!

BTW - DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!!!

Feeling guilty...

I see that folks are coming from here to my store website - and I havent written anything new or clever in ages, so i figured that I had better fix that. Well... At least it will be something new....

Today is our Third Anniversary Celebration at Esoterica.
I am dressed as a VERY robust Pirate Wench, complete with adorable new shoes which are killing my feet, so I may have to go back to bare feet. I do so love NOT wearing shoes, almost more than I love adorable shoes. The Dilemma!!! The Angst!!! The Anguish!!!! Stretch has now shifted from Native American (wearing one of the Store Plains Warshirts) to Rennaisance Poet - and very sexy he is... all 6'6" of him! We have a Pirate Kitty (to go along with my Pirate Wench)... A Society Card Sharp (that would be our STELLAR Tarot Card Reader Leoni), and soon to have a Sweet Young Thing once Alex gets here. Ron is dressed as a Suburban Palm Reader.

Right now it is quiet... Full Festivities begin circa 7pm, when we begin the crafting tables, and folks come in to show off their costumes, shop the bargains, and soak in the atmosphere of a "Cheers' like New Age SUPERSTORE!!!!

Will bring you more as the day progresses.
