Forget the Truck!!! I have a BETTER idea (and other things pertaining to this weekend and Halloween!!!)
I forgot to mention that Esoterica is also hosting a Open Circle for Solitaries - celebrating Samhain - for that portion of our clientele who are looking for such an event. this is in addition to our two concerts on Friday and Saturday night.
We should have psychic readers on hand Friday through Sunday, with an extra bonus of readers ALSO available as a special engagement Monday and Tuesday. I don't have an exact head count, but we should have at least one tarot reader and one palm reader - hopefully more - on both days in celebration of the thinning of the veil. It ought to be lots of fun ;->
And we have decided on an answer to our dilemma of the lack of a truck - we have abandoned the idea of being in the parade (it apparently was just not meant to be this year) - instead - we will take the stuff we WERE going to decorate the truck with, and turn the Gazebo into a Pirate Ship for the night... So Main Costume Theme is Pirate - but since Pirates are an engaging lot - we will embrace all kinds of folks on Halloween ;-> I do recommend that folks come before 6 or after 8pm - so you don't get caught up in the traffic closed by the Leesburg Halloween Parade - come early so you can see the parade (hoot and holler at the political candidates) and indulge in candy or other foodstuffs (I don't have firm plans on food - maybe we can get some folks to bring something too to make things interesting!)

In Need of a Pickup Truck for a Halloween Parade
IN DESPARATE NEED OF A PICKUP TRUCK FOR HALLOWEEN!!!!
Current mood: anxious
We have lost the use of the PickUp Truck that was supposed to be our (Esoterica's ) float in the Halloween Parade. We now desperately need someone who wants to participate in the Leesburg Halloween Parade this year - but loaning us their pickup to be used as our Pirate Ship. To do this - we need to have the pickup at the store by about 4:30 Tuesday afternoon (Halloween) with a full tank of gas (since we can never been sure how long the parade will be and how long we will be waiting to GET MOVING from Ida Lee Park. I have a headscarf for the driver - in case he/she doesnt happen to have any pirate garb on hand.
We usually have about five people riding in the back of the Pickup Truck, and some folks walking to the sides to hand out candy.
So... I am ALSO putting a call out to all folks who want to join us for some Piratey Goodness and come out dressed in your best pirate garb - to help swell the crew and help hand out candy.
I am going to cross post this to all the blogs associated with the store - so hopefully we will see some results. At the very least, any one within hailing distance of Leesburg is invited to come down and join in the Halloween fun with us - Make it a Blessed Samhain for all those celebrating! (BTW - this is supposed to be a very good Samhain - it is on a waxing Moon, and there for good for growing abundance, prosperity and other good things.)
